During his O’Reilly Update Morning Edition Wednesday, former cable news host Bill O’Reilly argued that everyone has been subject to betrayal at one point or another. He argued that every American today is being betrayed.
“Today, every single American is being betrayed by politicians and the media that consistently mislead,” O’Reilly said. “The President and Vice President’s recent comments on the economy alone are stunning examples of blatant falsehoods. Add to that the corporate media that covers for Mr. Biden’s deceit, and the news agencies that falsely reported the election results of 2020 and you have a nation besieged by lies. It’s true. There’s no denying it.
“Yet, millions of Americans still approve of Joe Biden’s job performance and continue to watch and read crooked, corrupt media. Why? I can’t explain it. Yes, ideology can poison the mind, and many simply believe what we want to believe. Surely, there is a deceit limit. Or maybe not.”
O’Reilly’s insinuation that the 2020 Presidential Election was falsely reported comes at a time when his former television home — Fox News — is embroiled in controversy after it was uncovered that many at the network continually allowed and endorsed false claims about the election to be broadcast on the network while denying there was any wrongdoing behind the scenes.
