Rush Limbaugh’s cancer is spreading, the host revealed on his show Monday. Limbaugh was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in January. “We had stopped the growth. It had been reduced, and it had become manageable.”

Limbaugh said the idea is to keep the cancer where it is or maybe reduce it again. “We’ve shown that that is possible. If it happened once, it could happen again. So that’s the objective of the current treatment plan,” he said.

Stage 4 lung cancer is incurable. Treatments are focused on slowing the progression of the disease, according to the American Cancer Society. Limbaugh said a new treatment plan will be put into place with another round of chemotherapy.

Limbaugh said he initially felt helpless when he first received the news of his diagnosis. “A treatment regimen was begun, and the first two of them failed… The third one? Magic. It worked. That’s where we were able, over the course of months, to render the cancer dormant,” he said

“I never thought I would see October 1st.”

Dan Bongino Celebrates Two Years on the Radio with Westwood One

“In radio or TV, you either have it or you don’t, and you had it.”

Dan Bongino recently celebrated two years on the radio with Westwood One. The network offered a Sunday special of Bongino’s program, highlighting some of the top moments from the past week.

During the sixty minute special, Bongino welcomed former president Donald Trump for a 10-minute chat about political issues. After the Trump interview and an epic rant by Bongino on an issue raised by a listener, a conversation with James Lindsay about cultural Marxism aired.

The program wrapped up with a discussion between Bongino and Westwood One and Fox News host Mark Levin. Bongino credited Levin for taking a shot on him by allowing him to fill in on his national radio show when he had very little experience.

“Maybe I took a shot but you were running for office, and it was obvious to me that you were a few steps above,” said Levin. “You were a cop, secret service, studied philosophy, and I would listen to you talk, and in radio or TV, you either have it or you don’t, and you had it.”

After complimenting him for his loyalty, Levin praised Bongino for his show‘s success, and for his ability to connect with the audience.

“The audience comes first, everything else comes second,” explained Levin. “The company that we work for is wonderful but you can’t interfere with us and our audience. The audience is key, that’s what Rush taught me. They’ll stick with you if you stick with them. Don’t underestimate their intelligence.”

The conversation ended with Bongino and Levin talking about the issues surrounding AM radio. Both agreed that it’s a political issue that has little to do with the frequency where content is being offered. The two men believe it’s a case of corporate executives trying to reduce choice, something that both hosts vehemently reject.

Dave Rubin: Twitter Spaces Glitches ‘Not A Big Deal’ During DeSantis Announcement

“Could they have done more so that it would’ve been a little smoother? Obviously. Are they trying something that’s a cutting-edge technology and there’s gonna be some bugs? Yeah.”

On the latest episode of his podcast, The Rubin Report, Dave Rubin weighed in on Ron DeSantis’ Twitter announcement, sharing his behind-the-scenes perspective.

Rubin has been an avid and early DeSantis supporter, advocating for his COVID policies and relocating to Florida during the pandemic. Rubin began the show by making it clear he does not take any money from the DeSantis campaign, he said, “I have never been nor would ever take a dime from the campaign, I will be very clear about that right now.”

Rubin went on to address his perspective on DeSantis’ decision to launch his presidential campaign on Twitter and the technical difficulties that started it off on a bumpy road.

“Now, I do want to address the Twitter Spaces thing because I was at Twitter, I was actually right outside Twitter as the space was going on listening on my earbuds and then I was upstairs at Twitter right after with Elon and a David Sacks in the group.

“There were some technical difficulties up top. It took them about 20 minutes. There were so many people flooding the system.”

Rubin advocated for DeSantis and minimized the issue in reference to the new ground he is attempting to break.

“Could they have done more so that it would’ve been a little smoother? Obviously. Are they trying something that’s a cutting-edge technology and there’s gonna be some bugs? Yeah. I don’t think it turned out to be a big deal.”

He then described the all-facts, no-show approach DeSantis is appearing to take, in contrast to Trump, “I think that’s what we’re getting from DeSantis right now. It’s like a serious person, like here’s what I’ve done, and what I will do, and here’s why I’m going to do it.”

Rubin also addressed the widespread speculation surrounding questions being screened for DeSantis prior to being asked in the Twitter Space, “I talked to Sacks after, and he 100% did not screen the questions. I was actually in there there’s a way that you can sort of signal that you wanna ask a question.”
