Chicago’s WLS 890 is welcoming a new weekend show. The Wendy and Ray Show hosted by Wendy Snyder and Ramblin’ Ray Stevens promises to provide listeners a sweet escape from serious news.

The story was first reported by Chicago media critic, Robert Feder.

“The weekend show on WLS AM 890 will be hyper local and will cover everything from block parties to the Bears,” said Stevens. “This is a true Chicago show hosted by two lifelong Chicagoans.”

Both Snyder and Stevens have been hosting a podcast together called the Wendy and Ray Podcast.

“As Chicago opens back up, we want to be there as you get ready for your Saturday night,” Stevens said. “Chicago needs a little fun on the radio, and we hope to provide.”

The show will air from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturdays on WLS 890. You can listen to the station by clicking this link

Clay Travis and Buck Sexton announced the newest addition to their podcast network. Karol Markowicz, a successful author and New York Post columnist, will host a show on C&B Network.

She joined Clay & Buck to discuss her show and what she witnessed at Wednesday’s GOP presidential debate in California.

The Karol Markowicz Show will feature Clay Travis and Buck Sexton as her first guests, each separately.

Markowicz attended the debate and provided insights into her forthcoming podcast, which will release its inaugural episode next week. Karol spoke about her podcast during her conversation with Clay and Buck.

Born in the Soviet Union and raised in Brooklyn, Karol Markowicz is a public relations consultant in NYC and a veteran of Republican campaigns in four states.

The addition of Markowicz is another expansion for Clay Travis and Buck Sexton. They announced Tudor Dixon as the newest podcast host in March of this year. The Tudor Dixon Podcast releases new episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Audio 1 has announced the Jason Lee & Kluck program will be nationally syndicated by the upstart media company.

The show featuring Jason and Warren “Kluck” has more than 40 years of combined radio experience. Currently, the program is heard on Federated Media owned 103.9 The Bear in South Bend and 98.9 The Bear in Fort Wayne. The program debuted in 2010.

“We’re beyond thrilled that a company as well-regarded as Audio 1 would show such a glaring lack of judgment in believing that our lunacy should be foisted upon a larger public,” Kluck stated.

“We are energized to find a show with irreverence and fun for everyone that not only plays on a rock format in the mid-west, but that can play on any format in any market,” Audio 1 Director of Programming Mike Ragz said.

The show will continue to be heard from 6:00-10:00 AM ET. Additionally, the pair will continue to produce the Here’s Your Freakin’ Podcast that Audio 1 will distribute.

Erick Erickson: CNN Needs to Host Primary Debate

“CNN does a better job staging debates. What we saw last night was really unacceptable.”

Fox News has been the home for the previous two Republican presidential debates. However, radio host Erick Erickson believes it is time for the Republican National Committee to begin contemplating a change of scenery.

What news network does Erickson want to host the next Republican presidential debate? The radio host points to CNN being the logical choice, both from a structural and intriguing perspective.

“I think the RNC needs to let CNN have a go at a debate,” Erickson wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “The candidates and their supporters are skeptical of the network’s biases, which adds an element into the mix that encourages the candidates to push back, but also encourages the network to target their questions.

“Also, CNN does a better job staging debates. What we saw last night was really unacceptable. Just take the CNN debate from 2015 in the same venue, with Trump on stage. There was better audio, less echo, and better control of a stage that included Trump. Really think that debate last night was a disservice to the primary process.”

It appears as if Fox News has cornered the debate market. In addition to the first two 2024 Republican Presidential debates, they’ll air the debate between Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) later this year.
