Longtime KFI AM 640 anchor Michael Crozier has been named the station’s Employee of The Month for July.

Crozier started with the station in 1989 which makes him one of the longest-tenured employees in the building.

In a blog post on the station’s website, Producer Michele said that each month the station names an employee that does great work. She said they highlight the employee to give listeners some insight into how the station functions.

“Even more important, so many of these people are the most essential workers, and have been here, in house, at the station from Day 1 of the pandemic because there was no way for them to do their job from home,” she wrote.

Crozier’s colleagues hail his selflessness and dedication to his craft, having done everything from board operator to remote engineer.

He graduated from Columbia School of Broadcasting in 1988 and quickly secured an internship at the station which at the time was called KOST.

“Radio has allowed me a voice,” Crozier wrote. “I am a disseminator of information. It used to be just about the power of making people react. Time and experience have allowed me to understand the value of not just reaction, but in affecting people in a way that makes them not just laugh or cry but understand why they laugh or cry.”

The Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro has announced an upcoming discussion about Anti-Semitism on X, formerly Twitter, with the company’s owner Elon Musk.

In a post to X, Shapiro shared that he’ll host a Spaces conversation with his co-host Ari Lamm and X owner Elon Musk, as well as a “panel of esteemed leaders in the Jewish community”.

According to Shapiro, the discussion will center on the social media platform, “anti-Semitism, and what it all means for free speech”.

Since Musk’s purchase of X, many have charged his extreme reduction of content moderation policies as reason for a rise in anti-semitism on the platform. The billionaire has rebuffed those allegations. In turn, he has sued the Anti-Defamation League for defamation after allegations that he empowered a rise in hate speech against Jews on the platform.

Earlier this month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Musk to discuss his stances after a controversy earlier this summer when Musk called billionaire George Soros a “supervillain”.

The discussion between Shapiro, Lamm, and Musk will begin at Noon ET.

Megyn Kelly: We Need Better Examples for Young Women

“All I can say is thank God those girls were looking forward and not looking back at Megan Rapinoe.”

Megyn Kelly’s recent criticism of Megan Rapinoe’s retirement has ignited a media-focused controversy, shedding light on the intersection of sports, patriotism, and activism. Kelly, known for her outspoken views, took to her SiriusXM podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, to voice her concerns about Rapinoe’s departure from the US national soccer team.

Kelly accused the retired soccer player of setting “a terrible example for our little girls.”

“Here’s Megan Rapinoe on her last middle finger to the United States, which made her rich, which gave her a college scholarship, which gave her $7 million a year, reportedly, in endorsements and fees for playing soccer for us on her swan song out the door,” Kelly said as she played a clip from Rapinoe’s last game.

According to The New York Post, during the podcast, Kelly played a clip from Rapinoe’s final game in which the athlete did not place her hand over her heart or sing along to the national anthem before a match against South Africa in Chicago.

Kelly’s criticism touched upon Rapinoe’s past activism, referencing her 2016 decision to kneel during “The Star-Spangled Banner” as a form of peaceful protest against social inequalities—a gesture that mirrored NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s protest against police violence targeting black communities.

“She sets a terrible example for our little girls,” Kelly said on her show. “All I can say is thank God those girls were looking forward and not looking back at Megan Rapinoe. Let’s hope it’s true metaphorically, in addition to being an actual physical reality, because she is no role model, good riddance.”

This ongoing media clash between Kelly and Rapinoe highlights the debate around athletes’ freedom of expression, responsibilities as public figures, and impact on young fans and society.

Changes are coming to the weekday lineup at Liggett Communications News/Talk 1380 WPHM. The station announced that there will be expansion, cuts, and replacements to its news/talk programming.

WPHM will expand Fox News Radio’s The Brian Kilmeade Show to three hours, extending the show from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. Furthermore, the station will cut Radio America’s The Chad Benson Show from 1:00-3:00 PM. These changes come after both shows were added to WPHM’s lineup in January of this year.

“Brian Kilmeade’s show has been very timely and topical, especially as we approach next year’s election,” Program Director Caleb Gordon said. “We’re happy to be a part of making his program the fastest-growing radio show in the country!”

Nonetheless, the changes don’t stop there. At night, WPHM replaces Compass Media Networks’ Markley, Van Camp & Robbins with Fox Sports Radio’s The Odd Couple hosted by Chris Broussard and Rob Parker from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
