Chicago Alderman Anthony Beale told WGN Radio 720 that the city is dealing with a war on gun violence and that the National Guard should be brought in to restore peace.

Beale appeared on the air with Emmy award-winning journalist and host Anna Davlantes.

“In Chicago, we are basically regurgitating that same plan we have over the last few years,” Beale said. “Cancel days off, cancel vacations, and have officers work 12-hour shifts and that philosophy is not working.”

More than 100 people were shot in the City of Chicago over the 4th of July weekend.

“I know it is unpopular, nobody wants the National Guard to come in,” he said. “If you look at the approach that I am trying to implement, right now when you go downtown and you see 4-5 officers standing around at every corner doing nothing. We could have National Guard men and women do that.”

The city has resisted the help of the federal government but recently Mayor Lauri Lightfoot met President Joe Biden at O’Hare International Airport and asked him for help containing the violence.
Local police report 332 homicides over the first six months of 2021.

“We are headed towards a huge collision course of disaster in the City of Chicago!” Beale exclaimed.

Mark Levin: Joe Scarborough Is A ‘Chameleon’ That Fails At Everything He Does

“He’s one of these disaffected Republicans who failed in Congress.”

Mark Levin slammed Joe Scarborough after the MSNBC host issued a doomsday reality should former president Donald Trump get re-elected in 2024.

Scarborough analyzed Trump’s vengeful motivators and drew a comparison between his politics and fascism.

Furthermore, he wound up taking the conversation up a notch by saying the media cannot treat Trump like a typical political candidate because “[Trump] is running to end American democracy as we know it.”

Nonetheless, Levin went after the Morning Joe host during his Tuesday appearance on Sid & Friends in the Morning, labeling him a failure.

“Scarborough is what he’s always been,” Levin told host Sid Rosenberg. “He’s a chameleon. He’s one of these disaffected Republicans who failed in Congress, failed on radio, failed on Fox, and then he winds up on this MSNBC, which has an audience of basically sonograms and airport radar. That’s pretty much where he is.”

Rosenberg laughed out loud as Levin made his comments.

“Comcast should have pulled his ticket a long time ago,” Levin concluded.
