It was announced yesterday that The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show would be added to the daily lineup at KIDO in Boise. That move moved the show to more than 500 affiliates, which the pair celebrated on the air Monday.

As the first hour of Monday’s show concluded, the pair discussed the move, noting the strong lead-in the program would have with Marconi Award-winning host Kevin Miller hosting the station’s morning show before their program hits the air from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM MT.

Sexton shared that he spent many summer vacations in Idaho and looked forward to taking Travis to the area after sharing he had never been to the state.

After sharing their excitement for the show now airing in the Idaho capital, Travis shared that the show is nearing a benchmark set by its predecessor, Rush Limbaugh.

“Over 500 now affiliates as we continue to grow,” Travis said. “I think Rush once had 600, I think that was the peak Rush had, so we’re back up over 500 now. That’s a testament to you guys. We certainly appreciate that.”

KIDO Radio in Boise, Idaho announced some lineup changes on Monday. The station added The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show which will air from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM MT. Clay and Buck were named official successors to Rush Limbaugh by Premiere Networks over two years ago.

The duo has worked hard to expand their show, both online and on-air, and has made significant progress. Their program is now available on over 500 radio stations nationwide and has become one of the most popular podcasts.

KIDO Talk Radio 107.5 FM 580 AM is Idaho’s first-ever radio station.

“Each day on the program, Travis and Sexton tackle the biggest stories in news, politics, and current events with intelligence and humor, “the station said. “Together, they guide listeners through the latest headlines and hot topics with fun and entertaining conversations and opinions.”

Sean Hannity will broadcast from 1-4, and Lars Larson will air following Hannity’s show. Glenn Beck’s show is shifting to 7 pm and will be extended to three hours. Additionally, listeners can tune in to Dave Ramsey from 5:00 AM-8:00 AM on Saturday mornings.

Kevin Miller — winner of the Marconi Award for Medium Market Personality of the Year in 2014 — will continue to host his popular show, The Kevin Miller Show, from 6:00 AM-10:00 AM. Preceding Miller’s program is the Ag Hour of Power, which combines news about Idaho agriculture with the airing of Kevin Miller’s show.

Meet The Press host Chuck Todd announced he will exit the NBC News Sunday political affairs program later this year Sunday, and 710 WOR host Mark Simone celebrated the development.

“He ‘decided to leave’. This is just after they canned him. Apparently, they fired Chuck Todd. Good for them,” The Mark Simone Show host said Monday. “He made up the excuse that he wants to spend more time with his family. Have you seen his family? No one wants to spend more time with him. He doesn’t want to work too much and it’s important to be at home more with his kids. His are like 38.

“Whenever somebody gets fired, they’ve got all these excuses. ‘They wanted to go in a different direction’. Yeah, up. He’s taken the ratings down. He set all-time records for low ratings on Meet The Press.”

Simone then said Todd is getting the same treatment as another former network anchor that was pushed aside.

“Sometime when they fire someone, you’ll get a fake title. You know, ‘news ambassador’ or ‘election ambassador’. Walter Cronkite was great, he was the greatest anchor of all time, but they couldn’t just fire him, so they made up some fake title for him. They gave him an office and a desk, and a secretary. And once on election night, they’d let him come on for five minutes with Dan Rather, but they put him out to pasture. So that dirty, slimy, fake news weasel Chuck Todd is out.”

Meet The Press has long been viewed as the most consequential Sunday political affairs program, gaining popularity and notoriety under former moderator Tim Russert. However, Simone believes the addition of Kristen Welker, who will replace Todd and become just the second woman to anchor the show, won’t change under her direction.
