WPTV reported last week that radio host Dick Farrel has passed away due to complications with Covid-19. Farrel was 65 years old.

Yahoo reports that Farrel texted friends after his diagnosis, urging them to get the vaccine. A vaccine he publicly previously opposed.

“He is the reason I took the shot,” Yahoo quoted Farrel’s friend Amy Leigh Hair via her social media post. “He texted me and told me to ‘Get it!; He told me that this virus is no joke and he said: ‘I wish I had gotten it!’”

Leigh Hair then spoke with WPTV.

“I was one of one the people like him who didn’t trust the vaccine. I trusted my immune system,” she said. “I just became more afraid of getting COVID-19 than I was of any possible side effects of the vaccine. I’m glad I got vaccinated.”

The report also quotes Farrel’s anti-vaccine stance as recently as June. In addition to referring to Dr. Anthony Fauci as a “power-tripping lying freak,” on a Facebook page that has since been made private, The Daily Beast quoted these posts by Farrel.

  • So, u think it wasn’t a SCAM DEMIC? NOT ONE ELECTED DEMOCRAT ever tested positive.
  • Why take a vax promoted by people who lied 2u all along about masks.

Farrel’s grieving partner Kit Farley posted that “He was known as the other Rush Limbaugh. With a heavy heart, I can only say this was so unexpected. He will be missed.”

Chris Plante: Laughable for Chuck Todd to Say There Was Never Propaganda On Meet The Press

“There’s no propaganda from him, Meet The Press, or NBC News. They don’t stand for that stuff. He’s just another old Democrat.”

As Chuck Todd prepares to depart Meet The Press later this year, it seems unlikely WMAL host Chris Plante is sad to see him go.

During The Chris Plante Show, the host brought up several reasons why Todd — in his view — is misguided for stating that he, the show, and NBC News will never allow propaganda from either side to air on the program or network.

Plante described several cases that he believed showcased how that statement wasn’t true, alluding to the Steele Dossier as just one example. He then wondered aloud about the choice of Kristen Welker to be the one to succeed Todd.

“He’ll be replaced by a woman of color. Is she on the LGBTQ spectrum as well? Because if she’s not, why not?” questioned Plante. “Chunk (sic) actually says there’s no propaganda from him, Meet The Press, or NBC News. They don’t stand for that stuff.

“He’s just another old Democrat,” Plante continued. “He was a campaign guy for a Minnesota senator who was the most liberal member of the Senate at the time. Now his wife is a Democrat party apparatchik, who has her own company because her husband was the host of Meet The Press.”

Sid Rosenberg: No One in WABC History Has Come Close to My Ratings

“If you add up (Sean) Hannity and Mark Levin’s numbers with a bunch of others, they still don’t beat me.”

77 WABC morning host Sid Rosenberg has taken the station to new heights during his tenure in the morning timeslot. He isn’t shy about boasting about his success, either.

During his show Monday, Rosenberg shared that some of the great hosts in the station’s history hadn’t seen numbers like he’s producing.

“No disrespect to the giants, the legends — Bob Grant and Don Imus, who came before more, because this is a game of ratings — but none of those guys came close to what we’re doing on this show right now,” Rosenberg bragged. “In fact, if you add up (Sean) Hannity and Mark Levin’s numbers with a bunch of others, they still don’t beat me.”

He added that the secret to his success — which he has shared before — is his willingness to incorporate his personal life into his morning show’s content.

“I tell people all the time when I get stopped on the streets, they’re not like ‘I love what you said about (New York Mayor) Eric Adams’ or ‘I love what you said about Donald Trump today’, they say ‘How’s your wife doing? How are your kids doing? Are you feeling better?’ So there’s more personality that goes into the equation than just the topic of the day,” Rosenberg said.

“Which goes to show you…the real dynamic, the real greats, they did not get caught up in the news of the day. It was more personality driven. People love to hear about the wife, the son, what you did on the weekend — as much if not more — than the topics of the day.”
