WABC’s Sid Rosenberg, who co-hosts “Bernie and Sid in the Morning,” is taking next week off from his New York radio show to pursue a new and possibly a promising side hustle of his, acting.

Rosenberg is in the cast for the upcoming mob movie “Gemini Lounge,” about a bar in an area he knows well, his native Brooklyn. This isn’t the radio host’s first dip into acting as he was in the Amazon Prime series “Gravesend,” where he played Dave Busco, a soldier in the Colezzo crime family.

“It started with the one role in the Amazon Prime series ‘Gravesend,’ which I’m still shooting and that led to ‘Gemini Lounge,’ which should be a pretty big hit coming out next year,” Rosenberg said, per Inside Radio.

Much of “Gravesend” was filmed in Brooklyn, so Rosenberg continued to co-host his morning show on WABC while the crew was shooting for the series. However, for “Gemini Lounge,” he’s taking the week of March 21 off as he heads to Los Angeles, where he’ll shoot his scenes.

“They were more than happy to give me the time off. The show is doing great – No. 1 in news/talk in New York, so they’re happy. I do other things to bring more exposure, which ends up bringing more revenue into the station,” Rosenberg added.

Ben Shapiro on Tucker Carlson: He Thinks If You Don’t Believe Him, You’re Part of the Conspiracy

“The only man of courage in this routine is apparently this truth-seeker Tucker, who apparently only asks questions but doesn’t actually examine the evidence on these particular issues.”

Tucker Carlson was a guest on the most recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, with the discussion sometimes bordering on absurdity. Talk about aliens, 9/11 conspiracies, and more permeated the conversation. Ben Shapiro has now taken aim at Carlson for his viewpoints.

On Monday’s episode of The Ben Shapiro Show, The Daily Wire co-founder argued Carlson isn’t the thought leader he believes himself to be after he claimed the United States was “evil” for dropping atomic bombs on Japan at the conclusion of World War II. He added that anyone who would defend the use of nuclear weapons is, by association, evil as well.

“This particular interview included a lot of conspiratorial thinking,” Shapiro noted.

“When Tucker talks, there’s a grain of truth to what Tucker says … but there’s a difference between healthy skepticism, the demand for evidence — that’s what skepticism is. Being a critical thinker is just a demand for evidence. That is not the same thing as ‘just asking questions.’ … ‘Just asking questions’ doesn’t make you a critical thinker,” Shapiro said during his criticism of the former Fox News host.

Ben Shapiro argued that Carlson’s recent conspiratorial turn makes him “the only person you can trust” when hearing the topic of discussion for the first time.

“According to Tucker, you have to believe Tucker, and if you don’t, it’s probably because you’re part of the conspiracy or cover-up. Because you’re ‘owned.’ Because you’ve become the ‘establishment’, because you’re weak, and you can be ‘taken over’ by nefarious forces. The only man of courage in this routine is apparently this truth-seeker Tucker, who apparently only asks questions but doesn’t actually examine the evidence on these particular issues. Because why do you need to know things when you can just ask questions?”

The Daily Wire co-founder concluded by stating that there once was a person who would “set fire” to such a narrative being presented in mainstream media. He argued that that person’s name is Tucker Carlson.

Bill to Defund NPR Introduced By NY Rep. Claudia Tenney

“It’s past time the American people stop footing the bill for NPR, and the partisan, left-wing activists that control it.”

After the uproar over a perceived liberal bias inside the editorial teams at NPR was brought to light by an op-ed from Uri Berliner, Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) has introduced a bill to eliminate funding for the network.

On Friday, Tenney introduced the Defund NPR Act of 2024, which aims to remove all federal funding for the organization after now-former Business Editor Uri Berliner called into question the leadership of the organization and what he labeled an “overwhelming partisan bias” against conservatives.

In a statement, Rep. Tenney claimed that it’s no longer feasible to fund the news outlet.

“American taxpayers should not be forced to fund NPR, which has become a partisan propaganda machine,” Tenney said. “My legislation, the Defund NPR Act of 2024, ensures no federal funding is used to perpetuate the media bias that has taken over NPR. As a former newspaper owner and publisher, I understand the importance of non-partisan, balanced media coverage, and have seen first-hand the left-wing bias in our news media.

“These disturbing reports out of NPR confirm what many have known for a long time: NPR is using American taxpayer dollars to manipulate the news and lie to the American people on behalf of a political agenda. It’s past time the American people stop footing the bill for NPR, and the partisan, left-wing activists that control it.”

Tenney joins a list of Republicans who have formerly attempted to defund the outlet, including Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) and Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), according to Inside Radio.
