KCMO Talk Radio Program Director Pete Mundo is scheduled to host the station’s 4th “Politics and a Pint” event in Downtown Kansas City next week.

According to a news release, the event will feature Eric Greitens, the former governor of Missouri now running for U.S. Senate. Greitens and Mundo will have an opportunity to dig into some of the most pressing issues facing Missourians.

“Politics and a Pint has become a destination event for Missouri and Kansas politicians as they get a chance to meet intimately with voters, while my long-form Q and A with our guests lets us, deep dive into the biggest issues and showcase their personality in ways that we can’t during on-air interviews,” Mundo told Barrett News Media.

Greitans has been in the headlines lately for a controversial campaign video he released. In the video, he reportedly said that he would hunt members of the Republican party. According to the Kansas City Star, two members of Congress have called on the Department of Justice to investigate Greitans.

During “Politics and a Pint,” a live audience will get a chance to ask questions. The event will take place Monday, July 25, 2022, at the Jewel KC Event Space. To learn more, click here.

Longtime New Jersey 101.5 afternoon co-host Bill Doyle has departed the Townsquare Media-owned news/talk station.

Doyle had been partnered with Jeff Deminski in both New Jersey and Detroit for more than 30 years as a duo. They were first put together in the early 1990s at the station before moving to Detroit to work afternoons on 97.1 before that station flipped to sports in 2007.

The two then returned to New Jersey 101.5 in 2011 and hosted afternoons in the 2-7 PM timeslot. Deminski is still listed on the station’s website, as is producer Kylie Moore. However, any mention of the previous Deminski & Doyle show has been removed from the station’s website. In 2017, Doyle missed time battling bladder cancer before returning after several weeks.

The last mention of Bill Doyle on the station came last Tuesday. Neither he nor Jeff Deminski have contributed to the station’s website in the past week. Hosts Lou Russo and Michele Pilenza from sister station 94.3 The Point have handled afternoons so far this week.

95.5 WSB in Atlanta has expanded the afternoon show hosted by Eric Von Haessler, shifting The Sean Hannity Show to nights.

Previously, Hannity was heard in the market from 3-4 PM and then later in the evening, with The Von Haessler Doctrine airing from 4-7 PM. Now, the local program will air completely in the 3-7 PM window. The Sean Hannity Show will now be heard from 9 PM-12 AM.

As a result of the shift in lineup, evening host Shelley Wynter will lose an hour. His show will now air from 7-9 PM instead of its previous 7-10 PM window.

“It’s a new day, it’s a new age, it’s a new era,” Von Haessler said as he made the announcement on Tuesday. “I wasn’t going to touch on this, but some people tuned in expecting something else. Maybe they’re a little upset. Give us a try. You might like it. It’s kinda going to be this way no matter what.”

Hannity began working in the Atlanta radio market in 1992 to replace Neal Boortz on WGST after he left to join WSB. He has been on WSB since he entered national syndication in 2001.
