FOX Nation has unveiled plans to debut a documentary series hosted by Peter Doocy on the 2017 Congressional Baseball Shooting as it approaches its seventh anniversary.

Strike Zone: The Congressional Baseball Shooting will debut in its entirety on Tuesday, June 11th on the streaming platform.

It will chronicle the June 14, 2017 event when more than 70 rounds were fired at Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and other Capitol Hill staffers during a practice in preparation for the annual Congressional baseball game.

The three-part FOX Nation series will be hosted by Doocy, who covered the events as they transpired in 2017.

“I covered this shooting at the time, and have kept up with the headlines in the years since. Standing at second base next to Majority Leader Scalise and hearing his firsthand re-telling of the story that changed his life forever, was one of the most moving experiences of my career,” Doocy remarked. “There were many heroes on June 14, 2017, and I am honored to be able to help share their stories.”

ABC News has announced Executive Editor Stacia Deshishku will exit the network on Friday, June 28th.

She becomes the latest leader to leave the company after a restructuring from The Walt Disney Company earlier this year. Former ABC News President Kim Godwin left the network in May after an investigation into her practices was set to commence.

Deshishku worked closely with producers of World News Tonight, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Nightline, Good Morning America, and The View, among others of the network’s programs.

Before joining ABC, Deshishku worked as CNN’s director of coverage. She led the network’s White House unit and also oversaw breaking news coverage during her tenure at the cable news network.

As CNN makes preparations to host the first presidential debate next week, it has added several partners to simulcast the event. A new report suggests MSNBC, Newsmax, and NewsNation will join an already growing field of partners.

A report from the Los Angeles Times claims that the CNN debate will be added by MSNBC/NBC News, Newsmax, NewsNation, Scripps News, and Telemundo.

When asked by Barrett News Media if the network was partnering with CNN to broadcast the debate, Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy simply stated “True.”

Those networks would join ABC News — who will host the second presidential debate in September, Fox News, and PBS as simulcast partners. In addition to airing on Fox News, the network will also broadcast the 90-minute event on the Fox Business Network, network FOX, the FOX Nation streaming app, and will provide the debate to its Fox News Radio affiliates.

While the report from the LA Times says that the bevy of networks will also simulcast the event, none of the networks outside of Newsmax have publicly announced their intention to partner with CNN. Barrett News Media has asked each network for comment.
