Amid rumors of a potential move to Newsmax, Fox News host Tucker Carlson shut down any talk about a possible departure and reassured his viewers that he’s not going anywhere.
“Over the weekend, we got a lot of calls asking if we’re leaving Fox News,” Carlson said. “This show is not going anywhere. It’s getting bigger.”
The network wouldn’t want to lose Carlson as he has the country’s highest-rated cable news programs. His ability to stir controversy for blistering attacks on the national media, prominent Democrats, or political “elites” in society is what brings in the ratings for “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” which is why Carlson wants to improve the show’s coverage rather than taking it elsewhere.
“The people who run Fox News want more of it, not less,” Carlson said. “And we are grateful for that.”
Newsmax is the alternative conservative media outlet that President Trump is pushing after his recent criticism of Fox News.
