A new poll conducted by WPA Intelligence shows that The Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro is the most trusted conservative media personality.
Comedian and HBO Real Time host Bill Maher was the top overall winner, with 52% of respondents saying they trusted the host. Meanwhile, 49% claimed they trusted Shapiro, with Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, and Jake Tapper rounding out the top five.
“Ben Shapiro has successfully managed to turn online fame into real-world impact,” said WPA Intelligence Principal Amanda Iovino. “Our poll found that he is more trusted by Americans as an accurate source of news than several mainstream media and cable news personalities, including among Independent voters.”
In the study, Maher was the only top-five finisher to gain trust levels in 2023. Shapiro dropped 1%, Rogan was down 7%, Tapper dropped 8%, and Tucker Carlson saw an 11% slip.
“Among online conservative personalities, there were significant gaps in both fame and trust levels between Shapiro and lesser-known influencers,” Iovino added.
