Tucker Carlson is planning to bring his nightly television show to Twitter after his Fox News ouster, and SuperTalk 99.7 WTN morning host Dan Mandis believes it will be a big win for the social media platform.
During Nashville’s Morning News, Mandis argued that Twitter has seen a mass exodus of users in recent years, and Carlson placing his show on the platform will drive those that departed to return.
“What they need to do is rebuild the number of people that are using Twitter, and for Tucker it is a great way to come back to the media. Frankly, Tucker will be able to do whatever the hell he wants on Twitter,” said Mandis. “I think by and large, I really like it. This is going to send millions of people back to Twitter. So for Tucker and Elon Musk, this is brilliant.”
Mandis did share one potential concern about the new endeavor, however.
“How do you monetize this? That’s part of the problem Fox was having, I believe,” claimed Mandis. “One of the problems Fox was having was monetizing Tucker’s show because they had been boycotted by so many companies thanks to the activists on the left.”
