Erick Erickson’s The Gathering was held on Friday and Saturday. The event saw nearly 1,000 attendees.

Every radio market The Erick Erickson Show is heard in was represented in the crowd during the two-day event.

“Bringing my audience from across America together to be up close with presidential contenders and conservative leaders is something no one else does. This was my tenth time since starting my show on WSB,” said Erickson. “Since going into syndication with Compass Media earlier this year, it just made sense to expand the footprint of the Gathering to all my listeners and online readers nationwide.

“We kept the ticket price very low and relied on sponsors because we didn’t want to burden the audience. The conference isn’t intended to be a profit center. It’s to build lasting relationships with affiliates, listeners, and readers.”

The event featured six 2024 Republican presidential candidates. Additionally, Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Jon Ernst (R-IA), and Governors Brian Kemp (R-GA) and Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) made appearances..

Former nationally syndicated radio host Mark Kaye has announced a new podcast and video simulcast project that is set to debut on Monday, July 15th.

Mark Kaye Saves the Republic will launch from the Republican National Convention next week in Milwaukee.

It is the first project from the former radio host since he departed Cox Media Group as a nationally syndicated host in the 12-3 PM ET timeslot as the company’s replacement for Rush Limbaugh. His program originated from 104.5 WOKV in Jacksonville before he exited the post in February of this year. He was replaced on most stations by The Erick Erickson Show, which originates from sister station 95.5 WSB in Atlanta.

In addition to an audio podcast, the program will also feature a video simulcast on YouTube. Currently, Kaye has more than 33,000 subscribers on his channel.

He added that since announcing his exit, he has been contacted by “truly conservative outlets” to continue his program, but said he won’t begin a new show until after the 2024 election.

After more than a decade, 710 KNUS weekend host Randy Corporan has hosted his last show for the Denver news/talk station.

According to the host, Salem Media Group informed him it would not be renewing his contract late last month.

Corporan told CompleteColorado.com that after the death of his wife in June of last year, he considered ending the show. However, he persisted, commuting an hour and a half one way to continue the show.

He added that since announcing his exit, he has been contacted by “truly conservative outlets” to continue his program, but said he won’t begin a new show until after the 2024 election.

“I want to get the start of my new life going and sort myself out,” he said. “And I want to take care of some personal problems that need to be dealt with.”

Randy Corporan is listed as one of the defendants — along with Salem Media Group, parent company to 710 KNUS — in a defamation lawsuit brought forth by Dominion Voting Systems over what the election machine company calls “false claims of fraud in the 2020 election.”
