A chorus of reports rang out over the weekend suggesting that President Joe Biden is considering stepping aside from the race for the White House. NBC News joined that group, going as far as to report that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has concerns about the viability of Biden. She told Jen Psaki she was angry at the suggestion.

While appearing on Psaki’s MSNBC show Inside, Nancy Pelosi told the former White House Press Secretary that she took umbrage with the insinuation that she was part of a group suggesting the President drop out of the race.

“We have informed NBC that that was not true. It couldn’t be further from the truth of anything. I’d been criticized for being so clear about Joe Biden and his decision about running for office. So that completely was not true. I don’t know where they got that. But I’ve had a problem with NBC News and their vibe and some of the things they put forth. It’s why you don’t see me on Meet the Press or any of those shows,” Pelosi told Jen Psaki.

“But the fact is, no, I never said that. And I don’t know that the other people they claim said that said that.”

A report from former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly claims Biden has determined that it is best if he steps away from the White House race. He added that the campaign was searching for an answer on when the best time to announce such a move would be, but that has not been confirmed as of yet.

“While some are giving CNN moderators a lot of credit, I don’t.”

CNN earned high praise from many in the media world for its production of the presidential debate last week. It is safe to say OutKick’s Tomi Lahren isn’t in that group.

During her Fox News Commentary, Lahren argued that many pundits and analysts — including debate moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash — owe Americans an apology.

“While some are giving CNN moderators a lot of credit, I don’t. This was part of the plan,” she said. “They didn’t throw Joe a lifeline because — as I’ve been saying — nobody wants JoeBiden. So the moderators simply allowed him to sink. It wasn’t because these CNN moderators suddenly have a vested interest in fairness. It’s because they wanted Joe to fail in front of the world. Everybody does.”

CNN received heavy criticism from many conservative media members for tapping Bash and Tapper to serve as the debate moderators of the first presidential debate of the campaign season.

However, after watching the 90-minute event last week, many gave the duo high praise for their handling of President Biden and former President Donald Trump in a first-of-its-kind setting.

President Joe Biden has received criticism in some circles for failing to do an interview after his lackluster debate performance last week. It’s been announced that George Stephanopoulos will helm the first interview with President Biden for ABC News.

Stephanopoulos will sit down with Biden on Friday and will air the interview on This Week on Sunday and a portion will air on Good Morning America on Monday, July 8th.

ABC News has announced that a preview of the interview will be available on World News Tonight with David Muir on Friday.

President Biden has been mostly mum publicly about his debate performance which was widely panned by both sides of the political aisle. Some inside the Democratic Party have called for the commander-in-chief to step aside from the 2024 presidential campaign due to his performance at last week’s event.
